Active Start - Registration opens June 1, 2022

ACTIVE START
Active Start is a developmental ringette program open to children age 4 & up that teaches fundamentals and skill development. The focus is on fun and not competition. Games will not be played against other teams. Children will learn basic skating skills, including basic stance, falling and getting up, edges, balance on skates, forward/backward stride and glide. Active Start promotes the development of social skills, introduces children to new friends, and builds confidence.

EQUIPMENT
Children are required to wear full equipment, including ringette mask and stick. Players will be provided with a Red Deer Rush jersey that they may keep at the end of the season. Please note: Hockey pants with shin pads and socks are also acceptable.
